I found a way in.

Take the shroud off that is above the pedals. (Remove two screws and then wrestle the thing out...)

Now, raise the hood, take the cover off the fuse box next to the Brake's "Master Cylinder" on the driver's side. Using a flat blade screwdriver, pry up the fuse panel and lift it part way out of the box. If I remember right, you pry the FRONT of the fuse panel (toward the front of the car) and the back part of it has tabs that come clear as you pull.
The panel won't come out far, but far enough.

If you use a steel rod or small diameter stick, you can poke your way thru from the fuse box, the stick will show up under the dash to the left of the pedals. Tie a pull string on to the stick and pull the stick out, use the string to then pull your wires!!!

I have a thread on my oil pressure gauge installation AND my "instant cool" switch here where I talk about doing this.
