That's how I did it, feel the bottom corner of your bumber behind the back passenger tire right next to the gas fume hose you'll feel the hole I'm talking about, perfect location for the nitrous line.
I haven't had a chance to look under there for bottle bracket mounting, but is it easy to get to the underside for bolts, and open enough for the blow down tube? I don't know what it is, but I dread drilling holes into this car.
I never cared about the GTI......

Does anybody know where a grommet is in the engine bay for running wires into the cabin?? I can't find one!
Unfortunately, I have no advice to add to this thread.
However, I would like to recognize that this thread is a perfect example of what this forum should be! Looking at the individuals posting, there is a good mix of ages and experience. Refreshing to see cooperation instead of name calling.
Kudos to you all, keep up the good work!

I dont' know if you found a Grommet or not, but
There was a post about guages or something that told of a grommet behind the relay box or something, if you post a question someone might remember it. I tried looking it up and couldn't find it.....

I know what you mean, I used to be on VW forums, and some questions got old, but a lot of times someone had something new to add to an old question by a newer member. I understand posting a recommended search to help somebody find something, but not blasting someone to do the search because the question has been asked already. Maybe I just have a lot of patience!
And it's kinda wierd, I don't wanna drill holes in the car, but I wanna put nitrous on it!!!!

Take the shroud off that is above the pedals. (Remove two screws and then wrestle the thing out...)
Now, raise the hood, take the cover off the fuse box next to the Brake's "Master Cylinder" on the driver's side. Using a flat blade screwdriver, pry up the fuse panel and lift it part way out of the box. If I remember right, you pry the FRONT of the fuse panel (toward the front of the car) and the back part of it has tabs that come clear as you pull.
The panel won't come out far, but far enough.
If you use a steel rod or small diameter stick, you can poke your way thru from the fuse box, the stick will show up under the dash to the left of the pedals. Tie a pull string on to the stick and pull the stick out, use the string to then pull your wires!!!
I have a thread on my oil pressure gauge installation AND my "instant cool" switch here where I talk about doing this.

Cool, I'm gonna be running some guage wires soon, and I can get the nitrous wires run through at the same time.
Thanks!!

My last ride was a ford sport trac and I had a wet system on it. I would go with the wet system with this motor. And also start with a 75 shot to start. I was sponsored by nitrous express and I'm thinking about putting one on this car. Any questions let me know.
