I have, at least twice now, looked in the mirror as I passed one, saw him pull out, and pulled over right away and waited. BOTH times, they'd come up and talk to me, but no ticket.
Once, in the pickup 3-4 years ago, I pulled over like that, he got within 200 feet of me, turned off his lights, kept going, even waved at me. I never caught up with him (again, I was in the 4 cyl Ranger). I guess since I was "compliant", he just didn't want to bother with me.
Oh, and I should point out, never been pulled over in the XF - had it a year and so far, never been "talked to".
