Yep, that's what they looked like. Both were rear Conti's, not the stock German type but the later Czech ones Continental came out with. Switched to Hankook, zero issues.
Witchal this is what comonally happens to an ultra wide low profile
tire that has been driven for some distance with little or no inflation.
It's often called a complete side wall blow out. But in reality, their stiff side wall folds under the rim, and as it spins, it shreds the side wall.
It happens more often on Base Cars since they don't come with a sending unit for tire pressure. Or to cars whose battery sending unite isn't working proerly.
