The doors on my SRT sound so cheap when you close them, and God forbid close one of them with the windows down--sounds like you pulled up in a Geo. They are so light, that it literally sounds like something is breaking when you close them. All of my passengers have a tendency to close the door too hard because they are so light, so this one is remarkably worse than the drive door.
Is there anything I can do to help insulate this? Does anyone else have this problem?
Can't remember if there is a TSB or not but the noise when closing the door with the window down is documented. I am not sure if that is the regulator or the track hardware but there is actually something loose in there hence the sound. Dealer can fix but I know they were breaking the interior door handle in the process for some people, searching door shatter or other door noise like terms should get you more info. Mine does it but I don't have the windows down when closing enough for it to bother me. Will prob take a look when I replace door speakers.
