Default Re: Why do the doors sound so cheap?

Ah! Good info, and thanks for sharing that! A really noisy driver side door was one of the first things I noticed with my '05 SRT-6 convertible when I bought it. It actually has a couple of different issues.

First, when you open or close the door, you hear the hinge make a "pop" noise. I'm not sure if this can just be fixed by lubricating the right spot, or if something is actually worn and needs replacing?

But with the window rolled down, yes, something vibrates in the door when you shut it. I assumed it was the window glass itself, loose in its track when it's rolled down. But sounds like it's a known problem with something else inside there then!

Dealer can fix but I know they were breaking the interior door handle in the process for some people, searching door shatter or other door noise like terms should get you more info. Mine does it but I don't have the windows down when closing enough for it to bother me. Will prob take a look when I replace door speakers.
