I see you are still confused. This is what he asked: "The plastic trim around the steering column behind the steering wheel is blocking access. Do I really have to remove the steering wheel and instrument cluster (so says the service manual) to get this trim piece off?" and this is how I answered " the wheel has to come off, not sure about the cluster but once the wheel is off the cluster bezel and cluster is much easier to remove".
