I didn't start your little **** for tat.. but I'll stay long enough to finish it.
Now feel free to move on.
If your Crossfire went from 0-60 as quickly as your cynical pissy attitude, you wouldn't need a turbo kit.
I caught James' point, as did several others. He's simply suggesting that a bulk-buy of filters from Rob is a measure in keeping our vendors in business (aka brotherhood). As my budget allows modding, I have no problem going to Rob for most products, especially if he's within a few bucks of everyone else. If it's a blatant over-pricing, I'll email him to see if he can shave some $$ off, and he normally does. If he doesn't, then I take my $$$ elsewhere but only after giving him a fair go of it. How you made the leap of comparing Rob to a Chrysler stealership is beyond me... you simply won't find better customer service.
You mention a "brotherhood" but you're EXTREMELY quick to flash on other members and take utmost offense to the simplest of suggestions. A quick read through the turbo thread shows this history, but I could link elsewhere. The dialogue between you and bjames makes my head hurt, like two brothers fighting over a GI-Joe.
Nobody is out to get you, promise. We all appreciate you finding the cheapest parts available, as some people need those deals. Your short fuse is growing a bit old though. Nobody thinks you're a "low life" for buying a cheap oil filter from a nameless ebay vendor... that's a huge leap, sounds like something my crazy ex would say.
But if ever dollar screams in your budget, then by all means... do what you gotta do. And before you get offended at THAT statement, "you" is meant in general... to everyone.
