Default Oil Filter change

I had purchased this in the past: MERCEDES FLEECE OIL FILTER KIT SL SLK320 SLK350 | eBay

Are there recommendations of alternative filters for the SRT-6?

Thats the one I use. And many other brands simply rebox that filter into their own.

Brotherhood? Then you should order them thru Needswings. Rob has a great price on them. I buy 6 at a time.

Crossfire brotherhood.. is it not? Maybe Needswings can price match and I'm all over it. Hows about you shoot them an email? Kinda like my crossie doesn't return to the mother ship for a 150 dollar oil change. Guessing you support Chrysler and visit them as much as possible with your car?

Some people draw the line at giving their money back to the dealership even though they brought us the car (loyalty)..
Some people draw the line anywhere they feel they are being charged to much.
I even bought a new hood prop rod on Ebay for 65 bucks (brand new) instead of sending Needswings $165. I know.. call me crazy...
Guess he hasn't had time to send that email on price matching yet.
If it makes him feel any better... I fully intend on supporting the vendor who brings us a fair market value turbo setup.

Yeah I do.. basically I'm a low life for not giving Needswings my money to profit from. Sums it up real well.

I didn't start your little **** for tat.. but I'll stay long enough to finish it.

Now feel free to move on.

It doesn't get any easier than this...

Don't start none.. won't be none.

Just gets old when everyone thinks because God sent us a vendor for parts "some" want, we should all be on board to buy from them exclusively. Speeddriven have a parts list to buy from or are they now black balled over the headers because some say so?

If your Crossfire went from 0-60 as quickly as your cynical pissy attitude, you wouldn't need a turbo kit.

I caught James' point, as did several others. He's simply suggesting that a bulk-buy of filters from Rob is a measure in keeping our vendors in business (aka brotherhood). As my budget allows modding, I have no problem going to Rob for most products, especially if he's within a few bucks of everyone else. If it's a blatant over-pricing, I'll email him to see if he can shave some $$ off, and he normally does. If he doesn't, then I take my $$$ elsewhere but only after giving him a fair go of it. How you made the leap of comparing Rob to a Chrysler stealership is beyond me... you simply won't find better customer service.

You mention a "brotherhood" but you're EXTREMELY quick to flash on other members and take utmost offense to the simplest of suggestions. A quick read through the turbo thread shows this history, but I could link elsewhere. The dialogue between you and bjames makes my head hurt, like two brothers fighting over a GI-Joe.

Nobody is out to get you, promise. We all appreciate you finding the cheapest parts available, as some people need those deals. Your short fuse is growing a bit old though. Nobody thinks you're a "low life" for buying a cheap oil filter from a nameless ebay vendor... that's a huge leap, sounds like something my crazy ex would say.

But if ever dollar screams in your budget, then by all means... do what you gotta do. And before you get offended at THAT statement, "you" is meant in general... to everyone.

Two points:
  • You're not local enough for them to be of much benefit, as most of their Crossfire deals are "service" related
  • You wouldn't pay their labor rates if they WERE local.
I find it interesting that the only person still talking about the header group buy, is someone that didn't even have a dog in the fight.

We got our deposits back, life goes on.

Why are you still obsessed? Unless you simply love driving the point home over and over and over...

HAHAAHhaa.. what are you saying here.. does this reminds you of your post in the turbo group now along with your buddies..
Or are you planning on dumping the super charger and going turbo?

Oh and believe me paying 18 bucks a filter is not an issue.. it's wearing that "stupid" label inside the box thats the problem.

And here's another "memory lane episode".. Seems mr stereo tech man didn't even know about bridging an amp. Or did he get his 10 years experience within the last two years of his post?

You forum OEM guys really need to get a grip on reality.

I dont care to stockpile 20 filters to get them at $9.50 each.

Which post? The factual one, or the informative one? Be specific. Also, I can do absolutely nothing to my car and still be faster. Why would I ruin a good thing?

Last I checked, $119.95 for ten = $11.99 each. I'm sorry that's too expensive.

I have absolutely no clue what/who you're referring to, or why it's relevant to this discussion. Try again?

Right. I'll remember to buy Honda parts for less, and retrofit them. We're the crazy ones.

Also, FYI I've got nothing against you personally. If anything, I'm telling you as a friend "stop while you're ahead"...

Hmm.. what a bargain on 10! And if I punt a Pacifica.. I can have a half price sale here for 9. What a concept!
Memory lane.. thought you were keeping up with the P*ssing matches.
Dog fight.. where you putting the turbo since you are active in comments there?
And just like the front lip thread said.. buy one and mount it.. buy one and place it. Really don't care, but some people (not the forum gods) did have an interest.
And as a side thought.. how many people got burned by my side strakes..oh I mean side skirts.. oh scratch that.. front lip adventure.
Just saying .. goose.. gander.. duck duck huh...

I really hope, for the sake of maintaining a gram of respect for you, that you're not taking a cheap shot at the accident I was involved in with the Pacifica (that totaled my white car, and injured my wife) just to prove a point (still trying to figure out what that point is).

As far as everything else you've mentioned -- grow up. Nobody cares. The turbo thread would be much more tidy if it lacked the henpicking you're giving bjames on a daily basis. Quite interesting that you've had "disagreements" with multiple people in that thread that really know their stuff. How dare we question your logic and reasoning...

Said the woman with five ex husbands -- "It was all their fault".
