My brother has been convicted of drunk driving NO LESS than 6 times in 15 years in Michigan.

He has destroyed several cars (all those he was driving and two cars that he hit). So far, only he gets seriously injured, but he HAS injured others.

He has bought his way out every time, by writing checks big enough for the lawyer to "do his job for me".

He has spent, to the best of my knowledge, less than 20 days total in jail. Now, my data ends in 2003 as no one has heard from him since then. I do not know if he still drives, I only know that he has bill collectors after him because they contact me about twice a year looking for him. Oddly, I get more information out of a few of them, than they do me. It is because of them that I know he lives in Kalamazoo these days. But that is all I know. He has a Masters Degree and cleans pools and does odd jobs for a living.

Odd how you can buy your way out of trouble these days.
