I"v never used that REST function - never gets cold enough in GA to use it!

I was thinking "REST" timed out in about 1/2/ hour. If it does NOT time out, and you let it run long enough, yes, you will have a dead battery. But I THOUGHT that the REST function automatically timed out!

This is an odd one. Are you SURE the alternator is charging? I know, silly question but fact is - we are not there to witness this!
I'd think the REST functions' current draw would be 3 to 8 amps. THat would mean a dead battery, even if the battery is NEW and fullly charged, in probably less than 24 hours.
