Actually, it's about laminar flow and the fact that if you have low pressure zones in the intake, the air is just swirling around in there occupying space and not getting sucked into the supercharger.
Looking forward to the dyno results. I'm guessing a more conservative 10rwhp gain with just the intake. The only real way to test this is with the hood down during both runs with the factory intake and your new setup and it goes without saying that obviously you're gonna pick up a significant amount of power with the tune so remember that when factoring in your outcome.
