So, you took out a fuse and the battery does not drain down now? Good! But if the fuse feeds more than one item, how do you know it's the Amp and not something else fed by that fuse? Are they guessing or did they measure the current and prove this?

And if they DID measure the current, did they offer to leave that wire cut so you would not drain the battery while keeping the locks working? (Does not sound like it).
