Yes, but that also will cause the steering wheel to not lock into place when your key is in the off position. There is a VERY important reason for that to lock, and it is not in case your car rolls down a hill. If you ever need towed, or are towed by accident they can seriously damage your car if the steering wheel is not locked. If that pin does not prevent that, then what is the purpose of the pin?
