I guess it is obvious something is getting wet. What amazes me is that it clears up after drying out. This tells me it probably is not getting to the circuit board(s), just connectors somewhere. I'd take the cover off the module box next to the battery and have a good look. And signs of water in there?

(That box holds the PowerTrain Control module, Relay Control Module and Body Control Module).

Sounds to me like the PTCM is being compromised in some way - I just cant imagine how water is getting in there even if the cover were off - unless you go to the car wash with the hood up!

Hey........................ here's a clue - the battery ground cable fastens down to a bolt on that wall... I wonder about that connection, water COULD trickle down the side of the wall onto that lug, I guess.

This is an odd one.
