I haven't dealt with an RCM issue.. but I would imagine it would be like when my battery went. Enough juice to run stereo etc.. all systems seemed normal, other than at start position with key, I could hear the relay switch click once and then there was nothing more. If I hadn't have already inspected my RCM, and hearing the "click" dead "weak" battery was my first guess on it.
