Please note the owners' manual makes no reference to license plate bulbs being part of the light out indicator check. It specifically calls out headlights, tail lights, brake lights and side markers.
My left license plate bulb socked in intermittent and I keep getting the damn light.

Why not?
If you are gonna rely totally on the manual, (even the SERVICE MANUAL) - you are gonna be a bit confused at times.
