as far as I know there is no reset, I know when I had it when I found the bulb in the taillight that was bad and replaced it the light automatically went out on the dash

My car has daytime running lights that are on all the time the car is in gear and the light comes on for a couple of seconds when I park and take it out of gear.
Probably a glitch in the system when it senses a whole bunch of power is missing from the sensing circuit, the low beams and anything else that goes off.Has anyone found out if there is a 'bulb out' indicator in the case of a broken 'bulb out' indicator bulb?

Please note the owners' manual makes no reference to license plate bulbs being part of the light out indicator check. It specifically calls out headlights, tail lights, brake lights and side markers.

I don't know how the MB checks bulbs but Volvo was comparing the current draw of bulbs in pairs- 2 headlights, 2 taillights, and on.

This thread looks a little old but I would still like to say that in my experience
the "light out" light would come on as well and the problem was also the passenger side front marker (Orange) If your light out light comes on and you don't detect any obvious bulbs blown head light. tail light etc then 99% of time it means that one of the bulbs on the side markers is about to die and it is barely making it so that's why the computer detects it as a "light out" I replaced the bulb on both of my front markers and never had the problem again.

It happened to me as well when I first got the car and right before the safety inspection. I tried to find the problem, even at night with no luck. Took it in for the inspection and the guy told me it was the license plate. Best $5 I've spent.
NOW, should I say it?
Why not?
If you are gonna rely totally on the manual, (even the SERVICE MANUAL) - you are gonna be a bit confused at times.
