I've currently only got one 70mm tube with filter on my intake.. waiting on UPS delivery tomorrow.. BUT temps have been running lower. Even after stopping at the store.. and sitting at a red light.. temps were 40 degrees over ambient. 4 miles down the road at 65 MPH temps dropped back to within 10 degrees of ambient.
So hate away.. but this beats stock intake hands down..
I just replaced the stock setup this weekend with a single NW CAI. What a difference in temps. My Auto Xray 6000 was reading 104* at idle. With the new setup I was at 57*-59* which was close to the outside temp of 54*. I always thought the stock setup was flawed sitting on the intake, I can only imagine what the temps would be like in summer. The car is actually fun to drive now and I don't even have a tune yet.
