Bushmaster was lured to New York State by tax incentives and free capital from the State, to produce a gun New Yorkers can now no longer buy. I say don't buy a new one at any price. If you want a Bushmaster, buy it from the old company in Maine which has restarted under the name

I'm leaning toward the "HBC" version at $1,200 bucks.
I do not own one yet myself but after a year of looking and listening,,,that is my current choice. Hopefully prices and available inventory will settle down this summer when I can afford one.
