and 5 Speed Automatic from an MB SL 500? or a 5.0 Liter SOHC 24-Valve V8 and 7 Speed Automatic from an MB SL 500 (2004 -2006)? 2007 and up they had 5.5 Liter DOHC 24-Valve V8 and 7 Speed Automatic though there would probably be more size issues there. The 5.0 Liter SOHC 24-Valve V8 and 5 Speed Automatic (in AMG form) were put in MB C series to replace the 3.2 supercharged that we know from the SRT 6. Seems like that would be closest to a "drop in" though I do know that's loose use of the term.
