Tuning the ECM is VERY simple to do. All you have to do is: disable the MAF and a couple of other functions in the VCM Editor, flash the ECM with this file, configure the VCM Scanner to record all the parameters needed for the custom Histogram, record the data during normal driving, and use the data from the Histogram to modify the VE map in VCM editor(it's a copy and special paste function). I have to repeat the process a couple more times tomorrow to get the map as accurate as possible. After just one tuning session the actual AFR is within 3-5% of commanded AFR. Once the VE map is complete I will create another Histogram to tune the MAF freq vs flow table. Then I can start tuning WOT pulls. The only problem I have encountered is an intermittent open circuit in the cam angle sensor. I'm pretty sure it's an internally broken wire. The engine runs fine without the cam angle sensor, but can take two crank attempts before it starts. I'll fix that tonight.
I think I understand about 70% of that, but it sounds like you are getting much closer, so good work!
