Also, hood strut is bad and they want $295.00 to replace that, another ripoff! Think I will just stick with a big broom stick! Any ideas or suggestions on either of these?

REPLACEMENT. They don't repair anything! They'll always suggest that everything needs "replacing" before the can "fix" anything. Which is why they're

Never go to the stealership. Come here first! Our guys are more capable and experienced than any "stealership" in the world. BAR NONE!
