With the Crossfire, depending on how you drive it, the FSS will advise you when to change it. It starts out at 7000 miles. But if you driving is such, you may see, like others here, more miles than that.
So, is it REALLY more expensive than my pickup was? Some, but not as much as you think.

My 2007 Limited Coupe has just over 15k on the ODO. Car had 1500 miles on it when I bought it in 2008. I've changed the oil 2x since I've owned the car, with the last oil change back in JAN. The 7k interval is fine considering the quality of the oil (Mobil 0w40 European Formula) recommended by M-B for typical driving style. And I use the fleece-style oil filter element, which is recommended for the longer mileage interval.
Of course, driving habits can dictate the oil change interval with some doing this service at shorter timeframes and some doing it at longer timeframes. To each his own.
