These are "coach built" cars with bodies built and installed by a different manufacturer (Karmann) than the manufacturer of the running chassis (Daimler). So there are going to be indivdual differences in each car. Plus these cars are now nearing being a decade old and each chassis has it's own history of use/abuse. Suspensions sag over time.
