It needs to be cut down to fit and also needs a 1" high piece of 3" silicone to connect it to the TB.
Ya Ron, I had looked at the "T" pipe originally, but wanted a better flow after reading the complaints some of the "experts" had with the air flow colliding inside the "T". I also have one of those SFX "Y"s that needs cutting to fit and still would have been a tight fit against the back firewall. The SL55 "Y" setup works perfect since it was designed to fit our TB which is the exact same as the SL55 TB. You just push it onto the TB and the tabs clip right on for a nice, tight fit. Push the top and bottom tabs inward and it slides right off. Very nifty!

And I just couldn't see paying NW nearly $200 for a couple of sawed off 90 deg. pipe couplers. The brake ducts are computer designed for optimum air flow and are a little larger to catch more air. And @ a 1/4 the price!

My thoughts are that the inline filter setups will flow much better because of the directed straight flow of air at the front opening, whereas the curved front filter of the NW seems to breakup that flow up front and not be as direct into the intake opening.
