The elbow guide fins can also be removed. I faintly recall someone had done test proving a flow increase with the fins removed. It's probably worth a few HP's at the top of the power band but no torque increase at all.
Also, descreening the MAF will improve throttle response
Needswings elbow come fin free.. Don't recall actual "testing" .. but anything in there is a restriction of some degree.
