Don't be a dufus and try to remove the connector first - like I did. BIG waste of time.
Back the bolt out and hold the connector/CPS assembly such that you keep pressure between the CPS and bolt, so the bolt doesn't fall and get lost.

After you get it out, and put the socket and bold aside, THEN take the connector off.
