Obviously this front part will be all clear or mostly all clear for the light, so the front will have the new LED lens flush to a plate that fits the opening or back behind and fully enclosed in a housing. The light should also be adjustable.
Is it possible to use the blank covers to be modified? Are they strong enough to can they carry the weight of the new light unit?
Ever notice how our actual "light" is recessed in the housing? As far as dirt ... it's a sealed unit so not an issue. I don't see adjustment unless you fabricate it in. These are not coming out as "plug and play mountable".. You could just as easily purchase a 2 1/2" or 2 3/4" diameter fog light off the shelf and achieve the same result .. you will have to fab the mounting to secure it. I personally think the OEM blanks modified would make a better look.. and I'm sure you would still have to fabricate a support bracket to go that route .
