That takes some fun out of hitting the gas.
While my modified SRT6 has been trouble free I once had that problem with a modified Jaguar. I had to replace belts more often than change the oil. It turned out to be a very slight misalignment with the AC pulley (or deflection upon acceleration or engagement, I forget).
Looking at the belts while running might help. It seems that was how I tracked it down on the Jaguar.
