Happened on the wife's car.. about 3/8" from the tank. Decided with that brass insert I was going to try a 5 min epoxy and give it 24 hours to cure out. That was about a year ago and with the clamp slide all the way to the tank ( put the cracked area about center of the clamp zone) We haven't had an issue again.
