Continuef tp let the top cycle and on stoe position, the windows csme up and the trunk is unlocked.Yes I lowered the windows before tje top began to cycle. Any thoughts?
The test is to determine if the switch in the windshield is OK. APPEARS FAULTY.
The "D" switch is a signal to connector C1 pin 16 on the PTCM ( Power Top Control Module ) to lower the windows.
It then sends a message to the BCM ( Body Control Module ) to lower both windows via the CAN bus.
This same functionality can be tested by pressing the top down switch 2 times rapidly if the windows are up, or the top up switch rapidly 2 times if the windows are down.
If that test fails, no need looking into the "D" handle switch ( Top Closed Switch )
