Three things:
1) The divider switch and top open switch are wired in series. To enable top movement, both must be closed, this pulls the line out of the TCM to ground, indicating that the divider is up and the top is "open", that is, it is released from the windshield frame. This means your divider switch is permanently closed. (Mine was bypassed by a previous owner, I'd not worry about it if I were you - just make sure nothing is in the way of the top going down by leaving the divider up at all times.)

Do not concern yourself about battery drain:
2) The circuit involved is not powered unless the key is "on".
3) Even if the circuit is powered, the line comes off the C+ bus thru several thousand ohms, the current involved is less than 2ma (.002amp).
