Exactly - there has been a cancellation with one of the other groups.
While they will hold a room block, if a person in a room block reserves and then cancels, that room is not put back in the room block -they do this to avoid losing reservation numbers in the long run. And it has bitten us in the butt a few times, that's why we ask: If you are going to cancel, please let one of us organizers know FIRST, so that we can find someone who is waiting and manually move them to your room. Otherwise, the room will likely to go someone in another group and we loose !
But this time, the policy benefited us. Mostly, it benefited YOU.
