Default Re: Ohhh ... crap. Shift linkage disengaged

I wear brown pants ... no need to change

New transmission shifter installed, along with some new brackets and drive shaft.

Only issue now is we cannot get the shift lever to move to 1st, 2nd, or reverse ... it won't go that far to the left unless we lift up on it. I'm assuming there is some place to adjust this??

Follow-up: I found this post where the "shift cable" is mentioned along with no 1st, 2nd, or reverse- https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...n-problem.html
and this picture : https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cro...d92df11148.jpg

Nothing is labeled "shift cable" but I'm assuming it is #4 in the picture. All the parts numbered 4, 5, 6, & 7 are in place. If I lift the shift stick up we can get 1st & 2nd gear, so I think it is something in the "floor shift" (#2) that needs adjustment ??

Any advice is appreciated!

*** Edit - found the page in the service manual to adjust the linkage, and specs for the Miller 9120 tool. Will post results!
