Not a bad idea, really. I usually use a flat blade screwdriver to pry them up -as George said, just DO NOT yank by the wires.

I can't believe you managed to get the damn ECM out without asking for help. I HATE that bastard connector. You are obviously one who can handle the complicated stuff, but you overthink the simple stuff.
