The oil filter will have a supply of o-rings with it, replace all the o-rings on the filter carrier. You will have one ring left over.
Put only eight quarts in, no, I do not care what the manual says.

If using an extractor pump (I never would), make SURE you use the dipstick to verify how full it is. If you don't get all oil out, even 8 quarts may overfill it.
