No, you need not unbolt anything. If the beam is 45degrees down from strait ahead, someone has placed the bulb improperly. It is easy to screw up, I only replace bulbs with the lights on, about 5 feet from a garage door - makes it easy to seat them properly.

It was fine yesterday? Sounds like tire pressure to me.
