No, you need not unbolt anything. If the beam is 45degrees down from strait ahead, someone has placed the bulb improperly. It is easy to screw up, I only replace bulbs with the lights on, about 5 feet from a garage door - makes it easy to seat them properly.

Strange that yesterday my steering was fine and now it seems to want to wander a little and when braking it's pulls slightly to the left. Guess I might have to pull the front wheels and bleed the brake lines to see if I get a little air out of the line. Also will check pad condition on both tires.

It was fine yesterday? Sounds like tire pressure to me.
