Took me awhile to find the air filters! Kinda different to what I'm used to. I couldn't believe how filthy/dirty the filers were. Got a couple coming from AutoZone a little later this afternoon. The rubber doughnut on filter housing is wacked. I did a temp repair until I can find a new one. Used white silicone that will dry clear. I'm sure it was sucking in dirty air at the back for a long time. Anyone know where they may be available or do I have to go junk yard hunting?

If your air filters were that dirty you may want to check the cabin filter under the glove box.

I think the doughnut seal was sucked in due to extreamly dirty filers. (They were bad!) This let dirty air enter into the intake manifold. Kinda anxious to try it with new filters but have to wait for the silicone to cure overnight.

If you ever need one keys are less expensive from SOS Diagnostics.

Has your amazing Grandson had an opportunity to take a few pictures of the SOS Key fob that you were kind enough to procure for him.
can you send him a text and ask him to snap a picture of the front and back.

I’ve heard many claims about their key and never seen one. Lots of talk about a great price, can anyone supply images

Took my "beast" for it's first night ride to check out the headlights. The left low beam is aimed downward at about 45 deg to the left. Couple of cars had given me high beam flickers. I guess beam was blinding them. I watched a YouBoob video to see how to replace bulbs orientation. Looks like it going to be tight fit and have to unbolt some things to be able to get at it.

Strange that yesterday my steering was fine and now it seems to want to wander a little and when braking it's pulls slightly to the left. Guess I might have to pull the front wheels and bleed the brake lines to see if I get a little air out of the line. Also will check pad condition on both tires.

Called around about getting the auto tranny fluid/filter changed and was a little amazed that will cost $250. Installed new air filters and it really made a noticeable difference in performance. (WOW IT'S REALLY COLD OUTSIDE THIS MORNING! 61 DEGREES IN TAMPA!)

Fixed the low beam problem. Someone had put the bulb securing spring upside down and the bulb was just floating around. Was very easy access as my car is not the Limited edition. If I have to replace bulbs on passenger side I'll have to remove the radiator overflow tank to get access.

No, you need not unbolt anything. If the beam is 45degrees down from strait ahead, someone has placed the bulb improperly. It is easy to screw up, I only replace bulbs with the lights on, about 5 feet from a garage door - makes it easy to seat them properly.

It was fine yesterday? Sounds like tire pressure to me.

Found that the front grill was making noise when hitting bumps. Removed grill and found that all but two of the lower locking tabs were broken off. I used silicone on the lower missing tab locations to secure it. Also noticed that all the tires don't match mfg. The front are Cooper's and the two back tires are different mfg's.

It was not a problem cause mine is a base Crossfire and not blowers in that area. Problem was the former owner had removed the bulb securing spring and turned it upside down and was not holding the bulb in the housing hole. Just floating around. It's good now! Thanks

Loweredt cold tire pressure from 35 lbs down to 32 & 33 respectively. Haven't had a chance to drive it yet.

Don't know that I've seen anybody give you any feedback on proper tire pressure. The 50 psig is definitely too much (MHO). And the label on the door panel is a little low for me (again MHO). I typically run 35-37 psig in all four tires. I get excellent tire wear and grip when driving somewhat aggressively is really good. Realize that both of these factors are tied to the specific tire you will be running.

Glad you reminded me about the cabin filter. I don't think it has been changed in "years!" While changing the filter I noticed the dash is not secured with a screw in the right side corner. I take care of that tomorrow.

Maybe I'll follow your lead and go with 35-37 psi. Thanks

Something a little "squirrely" with the front end. I'm thinking something to do with the brakes. Yesterday when I applied brakes it wanted to pull slightly to the left and today a couple times it wanted to pull to the right. Haven't had time to pull wheels yet to check things out with the braking system and suspension parts. I hope it's not something to do with that "octopus" box where all the brake lines go into! LoL

Fairly common discovery on a Crossfire not previously owned by a Forum Member.

I had the same problem with my cabin filter. I noticed i didn't have much blower pressure with the a/c or heat . When i checked the cabin filter it looked like yours. I'm getting ready to do a power bleed on my brakes and clutch. That's probably not the problem with your brakes pulling but the fluid may be pretty dirty.

I couldn't live with a car that had a filter that dirty. My friend, you got screwed and I feel bad for you. But being a generous, caring person...I am willing to take this car off your hands so you can sleep better at night. No thanks necessary, just let me know when we can do the hand-off.

Your friend,
Steve
