If you change the transponder from the defective key fob into a used other key fob with the key blades you can of course open/close the car with the key in the door lock and start the car. But the rf part will not work and you aren't able to teach a used other rf controll to your existing skreem. How I sayed in the skreem are 8 transponders and 8 rf Codes prestored.
I think it should work if the data on the EEPROM of the damaged board is not deleted and you solder this EEPROM to the other board. But I don't know if this really work.
