It doesn’t. That was the first thing I tried over a year ago. The 93C56 has what looks like a cut/chopped/adjusted VIN that is 12-14 digits. If you transfer the data from one to another it does not work. That doesn’t mean whatever goes wrong is in that eeprom, it could be data specific between the processor and its original eeprom and therefore conflict (not work). All of the data is different between one and another. Here’s an image of a readout:
