You don't want to hear my thoughts. You want advice.

We must start from the top. I looked, didn't find where you described what is going on with the top, other than "doesn't work". (If you did, I missed it.)

We need way more background on what it's doing.

Did it ever work since you have had the car?
What led up to it not working, did you change the car's battery?
Did you leave the top down or trunk open in the rain?
Have you noticed any fluid leaks?
Does the button LED blinik?
Is the LED always on?
Does the dash panel 'beep' at you when you hit the button?
Does it beep randomly at times?

Tell us what is going on.

Also, if the top lost sync, just re-sync it, use this manual procedure, put top up and down COMPLETELY three times with engine running - if it works after that, it was just a loss of sync, which happens from time to time:
