Water damaged electronics can be very hard to repair. If wiring has corrosion from water, getting connectors cleaned effectively can be very hard to do.
I also doubt the top module is damaged, unless the trunk area has been under water.
Is there any sign of water under the trip pieces? If you raise the lid and look in the wheel wells, is there any sign of water in there like: Corrosion, rust, discoloring of the harnesses, etc.?
