Why heat shield the hood? Won't it keep more heat in than out. The cooler the engine bay the better, or will the carbon fiber without the installation act as a heat sink and maintain too much heat? On the original fitment there is a seal that runs from side to side across the back of the engine bay. I wonder if the removal of that rubber seal would help move air out of the engine bay and thus help with a cooler engine compartment. The lower edge of the windshield is generally a low pressure area.

PS. I like the GRASSROOTS MOTORSPORTS decal, I'll be looking in the magazine for your picture.
