I have Win XP as well do you think that would be easier?
Have you tried the soldering of the board connection to get the setup to work better? This seems the way to go to get more functions working, I am not sure my micro soldering skills are up to the task though.
The best I have got is reaching the Tech Authority website to which you have to be a paid up member to. I also got some screen with a lines that formed squares but nothing else.
Do you have any tips for me please?
I'm using Windows 7 Pro 64 bit (build 6.1.7601 with Service Pack 1) and no tweaks were required. I just followed the instructions located here: How to install DRBIII Emulator for Micropod 2 on Windows 7 Pro 32-bit | OBDII365.com Official Blog

If you are getting a login prompt for Tech Authority's Website, then it sounds lie you are still connected to the Internet. That may be you problem, as step 24 of the instructions state to disable LAN and WLAN connections. For my Dell laptop, I just put it in Airplane Mode which disables all of the network adapters.
