The Autel scanner I have doesn't require the magnet to trigger the sensor for the DRB3 Emulator software to store the sensor's info. The Autel scanner tool has the capability to trigger the sensor all by itself, working with the DRB3 Emulator software, & will store the sensors' IDs & info parallel to the TPMS Module.
I don't understand how that works. It was my understanding that the magnet "woke up" the sensor so that you could talk to it, as the sensor is supposed to have a built-in "on-off" switch that operated when the tire rotated, so the sensor was 'off' when the car was not moving, saving the battery. Since you can talk to the sensor at any time, what I understood to be the way it works is not accurate.
