No one can tell you based on that post just what is going on, but has nothing to do with replacing "the ignition".

Try this and report back.

Get in car, turn on headlights. You need to monitor how bright the lights are, hopefully you have the car where you can see the lights shine on a wall ahead of you.
Turn key to START. Do lights dim way down? If so, the battery or battery connections are bad.
If the lights do not dim down but starter won't engage, release key to "ON".
Wait 45 seconds, does the engine cooling fan start spinning fast? If so, it's an RCM failure and we can deal with that easily.
