I am sure this is a typical situation these days. Fob was damaged and the transponder lost. I have been waiting nearly a year to get a replacement from FCA and most, if not all, 3rd party sources have any idea when one will become available. I'm just looking for any last options prior to pulling the SKREEM/PCM units from the car and sending them in. Considering the latter option - any recommendations?

Contact Josh at: https://themercedesswapshop.com/ And he can talk you thru how to order a new key.
And order TWO, so the next time you loose/break a key, you can send the remaining good one to him to be duplicated. Since you have no transponder to send him, you will be sending him the lock cylinder, SKREEM and ECU this time.
