John, is that a plastic tye? If so, does the heat from the exhaust get to where that tye is? Might melt it if so. It IS a great idea to temp locate it to see if that is the issue, just lets you know where the 'bump' is. Hope this lasts!
This is the same tie that we used in the phone company to hold up small sections of cable. They're pretty durable. If it melts, I'll switch over to metal strapping.
I guess we'll find out! LOL
