All that metal on the drain plug magnet and only 48K, Hmmmmmm... I wonder what mine has on it with (just yesterday) 38K?
.
I would be worried if I saw chunks and not tiny filings. You're looking at 18 years of wear on the transmission parts.
After the oil change and the new transmission mount, the car feels like it's performing better and it seems to be shifting quicker and easier.
Sven got tired!
June 24, 2024
I replaced the tires on Svengoolie. The original Continental tires were over 10 years old and started showing their age. I chose Cooper Tire "Cobra Instinct" from SimpleTire.com.
The price was good and they have good warranties on them. It's been a few weeks now, as of this writing, and I like them. They seem pretty quiet, and handle well in the rain and dry roads. I don't race around like I used to when I was younger, but I had no problems at 90 on a private roadway.
There are better tires out there, but these fit my needs just fine.
I used pictures of the tires from the internet, because they show more detail than the ones I took. Stock picture. I don't have those wheels.

Crankshaft Position Sensor replacement. Part 1 of 2.
Sven gets cranky! July 15, 2024.
There was nothing wrong with my Crankshaft Position Sensor, but I kept wondering when it would fail.
I also wanted to have the experience of replacing it in case I needed to in the future if I got stuck on the road.
I had to break the post into 2 parts because there are more than 10 pictures.
Remember; safety is the main priority!
This how I did the work on my own car. This is for reference only.
Here are the usual pictures with descriptions.

Reason: Correct the title
You'll poke your eye out kid!
I never thought I would have one of those ball things on any antenna of any car that I would ever own.
Well, now I do. The other day i was organizing stuff in my trunk and as I was finishing I turned my head and I stopped. My eye was only a few inches from the end of the antenna.
Then I thought about all of the cruise nights and car shows I go to, and what if somebody did the same thing on my car.
I guess I think more about safety as I get older. So I found this guy online.
It's kind of fitting for my car "Svengoolie". Maybe I can call my car "The Bat Mobile" now!
Well at least it isn't safety vest green! LOL
I have one that came with the antenna gasket I bought. I put it on when I installed the gasket, but took it off because I wanted the stock look.
I have a lot of hills and valley's around me and I would think the 16 inch antenna would get better reception. I don't know for sure because I've never tried the short one, except in my garage.
Last night I went to the local cruise night. On the way home whenever I went over a bump I would hear a clunk sound on the driver's side rear. It sounded like my door wasn't shut all the way, but it was.
I've heard this sound previously when backing out of my garage. There's a small bump I have to back over. Last night I heard it more often than usual.
Long story short, I backed Svengoolie up on ramps and checked the whole suspension. Turns out it's my new Magna Flow exhaust banging against the lower control arm and the bracing.
I put up some pictures with a couple of ideas to solve the issue. Any other solutions would be appreciated.
Are your tips completely center like this ??
If they are even the slightest off center it will hit there.
I got new rubber hangers when I got mine and got it perfectly straight to create the clearance needed.
It think this can occasionally be an issue only on the Roadsters because the Coupes don't have that same brace there.
New OEM hangers can be bought from Needswngs.com

I adjusted them last night. They are centered, I have installed new hangers from AutohausAZ, from the cats back.
If I push on the right exhaust pipe under the bumper it has enough swing to make it bang into the brace and control arm. I have about a pinky's distance between the pipe and the two points of contact.
That's why I was thinking of either putting an old hanger on the brace against the pipe where it's hitting. My only concern is will that get hot enough to cause the rubber to melt.
Another option would be to take pipe strapping and wrap it around the left hanger and bolt it into the hole in the bracket. Or maybe if I strapped the two hangers together to tighten them up and keep them centered?
I put a large cable tie around the rubber hangers above the mufflers. It seems to have stiffened everything up so there is a lot less sway.
It's been raining here so I haven't been able to test it out yet. I want to do it with the top down so that I can hear everything.

John, is that a plastic tye? If so, does the heat from the exhaust get to where that tye is? Might melt it if so. It IS a great idea to temp locate it to see if that is the issue, just lets you know where the 'bump' is. Hope this lasts!

That spot does not get very hot.
I have a wide plastic zip tie on mine in the same place for a couple years now

This is the same tie that we used in the phone company to hold up small sections of cable. They're pretty durable. If it melts, I'll switch over to metal strapping.
I guess we'll find out! LOL
UPDATE:
The tie wrap has worked. No more sound from the exhaust!
I still here a sound like the door is bouncing when I hit a bump even when I'm driving in a straight line. I don't think it's the suspension. I don't see any broken welds in the sub frame, differential, no broken springs, etc...
The door lines up as it should. I don't have a clue.
Wheel Center Cap Logo Replacement
The "Center" of attention!
Prior to the Antenna, on June 14th, 2023 was the cleaning of the wheel center caps and replacement of the Chrysler logos. A nice easy job.
I got the center cap logos from a place in England. The link will be at the end of this paragraph. The new logos were the correct size and are domed shaped like the originals.
They have them in black and chrome as well as the gold with colors.
Removing the originals was tough at times because the adhesive they used was pretty strong. I took pictures as I did it and then put it up on the FB forum.
Here's where I got the logos: https://www.chryslercrossfire.co.uk/...ories.html#ba4
Is this how all the center caps look with the OEM Logo?
Just wondering - Are the Chrysler Logo Emblems on the center caps in a specific geometry. That is to say is the notch for removing the center cap in the same geometric relation to the Logo? Can't tell on mine anymore as I've covered the OEM Logo with another version from andrew. Maybe someone that still has the OEM Center Caps can look. (Note: I bookmarked this thread in my Crossfire website folder.)

I think you're correct dedwards0323! I noticed in the one picture of the original center cap that the bottom of the Chrysler logo is aimed towards the notch. I've just looked at pictures of my friend's limited and it looks like all of the logos are oriented that way.
I guess I'll have to do a little more research, but I think you're right!
